goodness, RACQ called, apparently they are doing some fund raising or whatever so they can have a helicopter team based in Toowoomba, and he was asking me if i would like to donate some money

but first of all, he was like 'hi my name is Greg, can i talk to your mom?" and i was like 'deh, dude...i dont live with my mom', and he said i had a really young voice and asked me if anyone had told me b4, and i was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! and he talked a lot of crap and i was like dude i needed to pack i havent even started yet, and he was like if u'd like to buy a teddy bear...that dude was quite annoying and wouldnt hang up...

i was talkin to my sis on MSN and i told her about that, she said i should tell that guy to call HK in order to talk to mom.

parachute band

so now i'm listening to the parachute band, i wasnt really fond of them when i first saw them performing @ AGMF 06, because - it was supposed to be Superchik performing at the time slot and place, but they replaced them with the parachute band.

after their performance, i decided i would buy their CD, and I did. i bought 'all the earth'

and it's so good and it's my favorite CD of 2006 and it's still my favorite CD so far. but so sad to hear that the parachute band is going to reform with new members, with all young lads, i'm not sure if i'll like them, so just wait and see, till AGMF 2007.

i went for a walk today, started from shorncliffe near the pier, at first i was just going to 'hang around', but i kept walking, passed sandgate, then to brighton, what a nice walk! 7 kms in total, not too bad hey, will definitely do that again, probably not 2 in the afternoon though. got a sunglasses tan.

i've been dreaming alot lately, and some of the dreams are actually quite funny.

why on earth i was helping my friend's little daughter to blow her nose? this is too funny, in reality, i do have this friend, but he's absolutely not married of course doesnt have a kid.

is jealousy a bad thing?

and i realised, annoying people pick up vibes really easily, esepcially when you're being annoyed by them, once they pick up the vibe, they'll just keep annoying you to the max and wouldnt leave you alone, so the best way to avoid annoying ppl is to pretend that u're not annoyed by them...
arghhhh why are some people so annoying? tell meeeeeeee

Merry Christmas

hey i wish you all had a very Merry Christmas, for those in the US, i hope u're having a fantastic Christmas, hopefully a white one too :) and remember, Christmas is not all about the food, (only part of it,lol), it's all about the birth of Jesus, the gift that God gave to us -Jesus Christ, and it's all about love, because of love Jesus died on th cross for us, think about this, the King died for us - the undeserving ones.

I was cleaning my room today, and redecorating as well, i was reading my prayer diary, was reading it and just how God really answered prayers, for myself, for friends, for difficult times etc. God is just incredible!

My Xmas advice - keep a prayer diary! you'll see how God really works on you! trust me on that.

So i skipped the other 16 schoolies day, well i might blog about it when i have time (what am i talking about? i got heaps of time doing nothing!)

anyway, there was carols in the city last friday at riverstage, behind QUT. oh goodness it rained the whole night (pretty much) but that was the fun part, holding umbrellas and poking into people's eye (almost) and head, or seeing ppl wearing ponchos and steaming inside, and got poncho-hair, then dripping all the rain on ppl from the umbrella, and got wet on the right but competely dry on the left. (that's because i have a very generous friend!!) that was fun. and i think the most enjoyable momemt was the green wiggle (yes we made that up, shuuuu, dont tell stu he's from south africa...haha) singing jingle bells, the aussie version, man i loved it so much!:)

Schoolies - day one 17/11/06

1st day of schoolies, i was all so excited and ready to go at 9 am, tim called,'hey g'day how's it goin?' 'good, u yourself? what time are u picking me up? have u packed yet?' 'um...no i havent, how about 11?' 'oh yea that would do, hopefully u'll have enough time to pack, it took me a whole nite last nite' 'oh well i'll try my best'.

at 11, the phone rang, oh noooo 'where are u?' 'ummmm' 'dont tell me u just left the house...' 'um, no....i'm still at the house, i just finished packing...' 'then hurry up!'

1 pm, the time when we were supposed to be at church, tim showed up at the door finally...

so we were 2 hours late...it's so not me! once we got to the church, everyone was there already, and all settled down, i was like ,'ahhh, what am i doing?' kerri came up and asked me if i had any ideas of a good team building game...i had no idea, i didnt even know where i exactly was...oh well

so there you go, our team building game - if you haven't, not sure what u'll call it, but something like that. oh actually the 1st pic was lining up according to our age, u can see i was at the back of the line, near Norm. :)

this is 'if you haven't...', i remember i lost due to my shortness, thanks to Angus! :p

one of the 2 days that we were not having salad rolls for lunch! yay for pizzas!!!

dont even ask me what they were doing, probably too excited about schoolies, come on it was the 1st day!

we got our t-shirt, it's a different shade of yellow this year, and it says 'there's always hope' on the back instead of 'missing peace', which i personally think it's way better than previous years', and i'll so wear that to uni, i think :)

yes u're right, 7 days till schoolies. i should be really busy and actually i am, but i'm practicing my favorite hobby - procrastinating.

so i was reading my posts from last year Dec, some good times from then till now.

Dec: went to beijing with family, it was awesomely awesome! :) The Great Wall...sooooooooo steeeepppp!

Jan: got my wisdom teeth out and looked like a puffed fish for a few days, and now thinking i'll have to go thru all those again, just not funny

Feb: recovering from heat shock, and after a 11 hours flight, went straight to leadership camp, well no exactly straight, had one hot night sleep :)

March: um...there's connexions, always fun!

April: it was exciting, coz of AGMF, oh i cant wait till next year's. And as i was reading my blog, Linz and Pete actually held me up in the air during Newsboys, the security told them to put me down. Later on Janelle said 'oh my friend saw u up in the air', it gave me a good laugh...and AGMF reunion, man I miss Adam, his craziness, when he saw Lindsay, he said 'here comes the loud one'....that's adam!

May: I found out that I could actually dance from the swing dance thing for Hann's bday.

June: My birthday! I invited ppl to come to Pancake manor, but they started eating or even finished eating when i got there, coz i was late, oh well...this is what good friends are for...they eat when they are hungry :)

July: MYC!!! hahahaha...good memories!!!! Every morning i'd had to snap jennifah's pants to wake her up, and there's George! And of course me and jenn went crazy saying Kangaroo shong all the time! and yes, felt off from the sand dune, scratched my head and God didnt want me to die that nite which i totally could have!

Aug: um.........dont remember...oh yes, the dinner to farewell Tanya, i laughed for 2 hours non-stop

i got a survey sent by the government a few days ago, it was about the study experience in australia as an international student, i gave quite negative comments to qut.
my life here is Oz is happy because of the friends i made, not because i really enjoy studying here, and I've gotten a lot closer to God while i'm here.

went to UQ to play beach volleyball with some church friends, it reminded me of MYC, coz my friends kept eating sand, like what i did at camp. goodness i'm so tired now, getting so old and unfit, really need to exercise more b4 schoolies, otherwise i would never recover from it! and i'm excited about schoolies!

i was watching the 'medical rookie' this morning, there were different cases on the show, one of them was a pair of 8 weeks pre-mature twins...and i was like,'i wanna turn the TV off, this is making me so sad!'...i dont think i can work in the neonatal department. i always wanted to be a pyschiatric nurse, it's a good way to know more about myself too (i could be a psycho on the side which ppl dont know, normally, well but i'm not saying i am a psycho)

i bought 2 different kinds of tea the other day - camomile and lemon ginger

i thought i put a leom ginger tea bag in the cup...was sipping it, tasted like camomile...how come, so i had a look at the tag, it said - camomile...no wonder it tasted like camomile

and i didnt sleep well last nite, it's the perfect temperature, but it's so windy and the trees were really noisy! winter please dont leave!

yea so riverfire was on last nite, i wasnt as excited as i thought i would be...i wasnt even really looking forward to it, i dont know why...i remember i had so much fun last year, this year was just different...:( i dont mean the firework wasnt good, but the vibe was different. we didnt have any ice fight this year :( the guys were showing off their cameras and tripods, here are the photos taken with a dodgy camera, with no tripod

we got there at around 3, rego started at 4, so we went to Maccas, it's about 10 minutes walk. And they have choc twist soft served cone, and it's only 70 cents, and Maccas up at Sunny Coast are a lot posh-er than those in Brisbane. I was late for the rego, as in I was doing it...i love doing rego coz you get to meet everyone, i mean seriously everyone, unless they dont wanna register... Dont exactly remember what we did the first nite, well I wanted to go to the beach so bad but Jennifah wouldnt go with me coz she was tired...oh well

we had games and fun night, it was so much fun, the pictures can tell you

outreach - we didnt really do much since either ppl were not home and not interested. And prayer and worship night was awesome!

1) the first nite i wanted to go to the beach so bad, but Jenn was too tired so she wouldnt go with me, and the 3rd nite i was so tired, i went to bed at 10:30, Jenn came in at around 12 and yelling 'I'm going to the beeeeeeeeeeach!!', and after she came back at 3:30 (which i had no idea that she came in), she wrote "Gloria please wake me up at 7" on her program and left it on my bed...i woke up that morning, found that Jenn's program was on my bed, absolutley no idea that she left me a note, and i woke her up at 7:30...oops!

2) everyone loves George, and Tim actually made him a nappie.

3) Suddenly we have a lot of celebrities on camp, ie: Orlando Bloom, Hugh Grant and Chris Martin...if you wanna know, ask Jenn

4) soccer game, UQ and USQ were wearing light color shirts and QUT dark color shirts, i couldnt be bothered to get changed so i was wearing my white t-shirt, walking around the field taking pictures, and the UQ and USQ ppl kept passing the ball to me

5) on campus time, Lindsay said he's not a people person and sometimes too many ppl around him would drain him out, and I apologized coz I've definitely drained him out during camp and used up all his quota everyday...haha (sorry Lindsay, if you're reading this, I wanna tell you you're not a not-people-person, and please don't get addicted to butter menthol even though they are good)

6) Pete fell asleep during campus time and almost fell on Alon's shoulder, and we laughed at him

7) posternotes on Trev's car

8) the last nite, i gave everyone (not quite, but a few people) entertainment at the beach by falling down from a sand-hill (i dont know how u call it...), landed on my forehead, and my glasses were completely fine and i was really impressed. And 'So Good' was so good for my sore forehead that night.

9) we were playing snap and melissa's finger was bleeding, she didnt know it until i told her, there was blood everywhere...

and we took some pictures, but they were just too hilarious and suspicious, so better not put on here! and i dont think i wanna do a phD...well not that i want to, but after Ernie's case...i seriously dont think i will...hahaha!!

monday nite, i was at uni computer lab, i saw a middle-age woman handing in her assignment, there's a middle-age man, 2 kids next to her, they must be a family, and i assumed that the lady was handing in her last-minute assignment, coz the kids were in their dressing gown...Mathieu, you're not alone! :)

i was looking at the pictures i've been taking through the past few years, wow, seriously i have millions...:) thank goodness there's something called digital camera...otherwise i'd be broke already! (well i was when i was in America...i took thousands and thousands pictures in a year and i spent heaps on developing them...)

brings back a lot of memories, most of them are good, well actually they are all good :) Thank you God for friends! A lot of people look different now comparing to 1 or 2 years ago, but me, i still look the same i reckon, but it's alright.

well, the whole drainage system in the kitchen and laundry is blocked up...couldnt do dishes after the dinner party, how great...

took the bus home after sports today, and suddenly the bus went 'bang'...it hit a car, or the car hit the bus, well...they hit each other. it wasnt that bad...

i msged pete that i might be home late coz he was coming over to set up a password for my wireless internet, i said, 'are you home yet? i took the bus and it just had an accident, so i dont know when i can get home, i'm at mater hospital, well i mean the bus, i'm not injured so dont worry...' i had a thought that i would just stop the msg after 'i'm at mater hospital', coz that might freak pete out, but then i thought, 'well, i dont think i would appreciate a joke like that...'
and the tow truck came in like 2 seconds, i mean seriously 2 seconds, one of the ladies on the bus said 'WOW, the tow truck just came in no time at all... WOW!!'...i tried my very best not to laugh! :D
and surprisingly, another bus came in less than 2 minutes...how efficient! :)

i think no-one is more patriotic than me, i got up at 3 am for the dawn service...and had an adventure @ UQ, then scavenger hunt with the girls, and last but not least, hung out with friends at Southbank, it was good fun. so pretty much yesterday i left the house at 3:30am then came home at 6pm...

I'll write more bout the service and others later on, i'm still recovering, but i definitely had a good nite sleep, from 8pm to 9 this morning...how good is that?

I hope I wasn't on the big screen, how embarrassing that could be...

on the way home from church, i saw a guy carrying his girlfriend's handbag for her...and they were eating ice-cream.
for me, i wouldnt like my boyfriend to carry my handbag, if i was carrying heavy backpack, if he offered to carry it for me, i'd say yes (even if he didnt offer i'd ask...), but not my handbag, so here's the question

for girls: would you like your boyfriend to carry your handbag for you? if you would, why? if you wouldnt, why?

i love being on prac, i dont mind working there for no pay, coz this is what i enjoy...and i'm serving people with all my heart, and this is what God commanded - To serve, not to be served.

and taking care with elderly is quite fun, sometimes...coz no matter how u stuff up, they will still say, 'oh, thank you for taking care of me, i'm sure you'll be a little good nurse, coz you're kind'...

hey guys, i'm on prac just in case u dont know *ahem* , thank you for those who noticed that i wasnt at night life, for those who didnt...i dont know what to say...

prac's been going well, i love my facilitator, she's awesome!:) and yea i've been doing a lot of work, and i'm so to say that i'm a SN! well u can go figure out what that means. i did a wound dressing today, the patient had a TKR 2 days ago, so the wound was still fresh and red, and the suture was just massively long...and i think i need to work on my time management.

one thing, i got a lift from a stranger, well not a total stranger, but i dont know his name, and he doesnt speak english, maybe a little, and we were lost, so glad he had a UBD in his car, we were at holland park west...haaaa, dont ask me how we got there.

anyway, i'm hopping to bed, so tired! and yay tmr's friday, but i need to work on my website review assignment, why are all nursing assignments stupid? why do we need to do a website review?
